2021 Calligraphy ‘Bootlegger’s Hill’ Pinot Noir “This 2021 Russian River Valley bottling offers a soft mouthfeel with a smooth texture upon entry. Layers of pretty red rose water, red cherry candy and guava fruits all combine on the palate, with citrus rind and salty soil accents on the palate. Medium to full-bodied, this is gratifying Pinot Noir that is already drinking really well now. Drink 2023-2031”

2021 Calligraphy Bootlegger’s Hill Pinot Noir “From a great site farmed by Charlie Chenoweth, this ample wine is appealing in rich layers of strawberry and cherry, complemented by savory elements of forest floor, black tea and clove. It shows its youth in grip and concentration but should be opulent for years”

2021 Calligraphy Bootlegger’s Hill Pinot Noir "Calligraphy’s 2021 Pinot Noir is its inaugural release, and it’s stunningly beautiful. A partnership between founder Pooja Challa Gorthy and winemaker Megan Baccitich, who cut her teeth at Paul Hobbs, the grapes come from Charlie Chenoweth’s much sought-after Russian River Valley vineyard, Bootlegger’s Hill."

2021 Calligraphy Bootlegger’s Hill Pinot Noir“The inaugural and sole release from Calligraphy and winemaker Megan Baccitich, the 2021 Pinot Noir Bootlegger's Hill was raised for 15 months in 70% new French oak. Pouring a youthful ripe ruby, its forward, spicy, and floral profile lifts from the glass with aromas of wild cherry, menthol, pressed flowers, and toasted cedar. A medium to full-bodied red, it’s supple and silky in texture, with a luxurious sheen of fruit and oak spice, as well as a rounded mouthfeel, and its spiced perfume lasting on the finish. This is a solid and attractive first offering that I would be happy to revisit over the coming 5-6 years.”
